OSCE pass rate for October-December 2018, revealed by NMC

In 2018, a total of 5,395 applicants took the OSCE and 96 percent achieved a pass. The OSCE is rightly a challenging test because it gives assurance that nurses and midwives coming to the UK are capable of working safely.
According to the published OSCE pass rate from NMC, the passing percentage has been increased from 73 percent in the last quarter to 81 percent this quarter. The data reveals that the highest pass percentage is for Ulster University, Northen Ireland with 90% followed by the University of Northampton with 82% and Oxford Brookes University with 66%.

OSCE resit requirements have changed as of 16 July 2018, which means anyone taking an OSCE resit will only need to re-sit the part that they’ve previously failed.
